A comprehensive review of the ongoing cleaning and rejuvenation project of Koradi Lake, one of the important water bodies in Nagpur district, was conducted during a site inspection today.
During the visit, detailed information was obtained regarding various works being undertaken to restore the lake, including desilting, enhancement of water storage capacity, cleanliness drives in and around the lake, and measures aimed at preserving ecological balance. Officials also reviewed the progress of activities being implemented to improve the overall health and sustainability of the water body.
The lake rejuvenation initiative is expected to significantly contribute to environmental conservation, better water resource management, and the long-term preservation of the region’s natural ecosystem.
Instructions were issued to the concerned officers and staff to ensure that all works are carried out with high quality standards, proper planning, and completed within the stipulated timeframe.
The inspection was attended by Ms. Jayshree Bhoj, Secretary, Department of Environment and Climate Change, along with officials from the concerned departments.
