Union Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed confidence that ‘Param Mitra’, a senior citizen service facilitation platform launched to help elderly people live with dignity, safety, and happiness, will ensure a more respectful and fulfilling life for senior citizens.
Param Mitra Services Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with ETHDC Technologies Pvt. Ltd., has launched ‘Param Mitra’, India’s first technology-enabled yet human-centric service platform dedicated to senior citizens. The platform was inaugurated by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Present on the occasion were Shashank Hiwarkar, Chief Executive Officer of Param Mitra, along with Swapnil Mondhe and Sanjay Kulkarni.
Speaking on the occasion, Shashank Hiwarkar said that Param Mitra is not merely a service platform for senior citizens but also a dependable support system that helps children living abroad or in other cities for work stay connected with their ageing parents.
Through this platform, senior citizens will receive emotional support and companionship, assistance with day-to-day activities, accompaniment for hospital visits and medical check-ups, emergency coordination, and seamless access to doctors, diagnostic centres, pharmacies, physiotherapy centres, and other service providers.
Hiwarkar further stated that trained and verified ‘Mitras’ will provide personalised, on-ground assistance to senior citizens, while their family members will receive regular updates about their well-being and the services being provided.
He added that the platform will initially be launched in Nagpur, followed by expansion across other districts of Vidarbha, and will eventually be extended across the country to make its services accessible to senior citizens nationwide.
