Organising Committee Invites Schools Across Maharashtra to Participate
The last date to register for the State-Level Khasdar Cup Inter-School Patriotic Group Singing Competition, being organised in Nagpur under the inspiration of Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari, is July 15, 2026. Interested schools are requested to complete their registrations at the earliest, appealed Madhura Gadkari, President of Balakala Academy, Nagpur, and Ravindra Fadnavis, President of Stree Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Nagpur.
Jointly organised by Balakala Academy and Stree Shikshan Prasarak Mandal the competition will be held in two categories: Group A (Classes 1 to 5) and Group B (Classes 6 to 10). Each participating group must comprise a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 students.
Every group will perform two patriotic songs in either Marathi or Hindi. One song may be selected by the participating school, while the second must be chosen from the list of songs prescribed by the organising committee. Following the preliminary rounds, 10 groups from each category will qualify for the finals.
The winning team will be awarded the prestigious “Khasdar Cup”, and each member of the winning team will receive a cash prize.
The inaugural ceremony will be held on August 3, 2026, followed by the preliminary round for Group A (Classes 1 to 5). The preliminary round for Group B (Classes 6 to 10) will take place on August 4, 2026. The grand finale and prize distribution ceremony will be held on August 16, 2026, at Vasantrao Deshpande Auditorium, Nagpur.
Participating teams from outside Nagpur district will be provided travel allowance for both the preliminary and final rounds, along with free accommodation and meals.
