With the registration deadline fast approaching, organisers of the eighth edition of the Pachmarhi Monsoon Marathon have issued a final appeal to runners and fitness enthusiasts to complete their entries by July 10.
The marathon is scheduled to be held on July 26 against the backdrop of Pachmarhi’s spectacular monsoon scenery, offering participants a chance to run through verdant forests, mist-laden hills and winding mountain roads in one of India’s most picturesque hill stations.
Considered among the country’s most scenic running events, the annual marathon draws participants from across India and has become a major attraction for long-distance runners and adventure enthusiasts alike.
This year’s edition will feature races over 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km distances for men and women across various age groups.
Every participant will receive an RFID timing chip, a timing certificate, a dri-fit marathon T-shirt, a finisher’s medal, post-race refreshments and complete route support throughout the event.
The top three finishers in each age category in both the men’s and women’s sections will be honoured with prizes. Organisers, however, have clarified that no cash rewards will be distributed.
