OTT platforms rolled out a packed slate of new content on July 10, with as many as 22 movies and web series making their debut across leading streaming services, offering viewers a wide range of options for the weekend.
From horror and crime dramas to comedy, romance, thrillers, science fiction, documentaries and family entertainers, the latest releases cater to audiences across genres and languages.
Major streaming platforms, including Netflix, Zee5, Amazon Prime Video, JioHotstar, Sony LIV, ETV Win, Lionsgate Play, Hulu, Mubi and Shudder, have all expanded their libraries with fresh titles.
Among the new arrivals, nearly 14 titles are expected to generate significant buzz, while eight releases are available in Telugu either as originals or dubbed versions, giving Telugu viewers plenty of options.
Netflix leads with multiple releases
Netflix has added the largest number of titles to its catalogue, led by the Telugu romantic comedy web series Gurtukostunnayi. The platform has also released the Hindi film Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, legal thriller Ikka, survival documentary Shipwrecked: Nightmare at Sea, historical documentary Miguel Angel Blanco: The 48 Hours That Changed Spain, Japanese mystery drama Until the T-Shirt Dries and crime thriller The Paradise Murders.
Zee5 expands regional content library
Zee5 has introduced several regional releases, including the Telugu-dubbed spy drama Mukhbir: The Story of a Spy. The platform has also premiered Marathi social drama Frame, Tamil crime comedy Parimila & Co, and Bengali fantasy family entertainer Nari Choritro Bejay Jotil.
Prime Video adds thrillers and reality shows
Amazon Prime Video has released the Telugu-dubbed version of Malayalam psychological thriller Dose, which is also available on Aha and Lionsgate Play.
The platform has also added the comedy reality show LOL: Last One Laughing Poland Season 4, while crime drama series The Westies is expected to arrive shortly.
Regional content on ETV Win and Sony LIV
ETV Win has premiered the Telugu comedy web series Ekasekalu, while JioHotstar is streaming the Malayalam sports documentary Land of Football in Telugu. Sony LIV has added the Telugu-dubbed sports action drama Balti to its catalogue.
More releases across platforms
Several other streaming services have also introduced new content. Hoichoi has released Bengali mystery series Choddobeshi, Lionsgate Play has added French science-fiction drama The Sentinels, Mubi is streaming Mexican psychological drama Amores Perros, Shudder has introduced horror thriller Face of Death, and Hulu has released science-fiction revenge thriller Redux Redux.
With 22 fresh releases spread across multiple platforms, viewers have no shortage of entertainment choices heading into the weekend.
