Celebrating the International Chess Day which is celebrated on 20th July 2026(Monday), the 3rd MKH Sancheti Inter-School Chess Championship organised by Kalpana Prakash Welfare Foundation MKH Sancheti College in association with Chess Association Nagpur at MKH Sancheti College, Hindustan Colony, Wardha Road, Nagpur on 19th July 2026.
Ved Neeraj Phaur won the overall winner Trophy in Boys Group with 7.5 points out of 8. In the Girls Group Anvika Ghodeswar clinches the Girls Winner Trophy with a score of 7 points out of Eight.
214 School Children across various schools of Nagpur participated in the event. Attractive Trophies were given to the Top performers in each age group.

Prizes were distributed at the hands of Smt Darshini Dhawad, Corporator & Chairman of Sports Committee of Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Smt Sheetal Kathale, Vice Principal, MKH Sancheti Junior College. Shri Bhushan Shriwas, Secretary, Chess Association Nagpur, Shri S.S.Soman, Member of MCA Observer Committee and IA Shiva Iyer were present on the dias. To celebrate the International Chess Day, all participants were given certificates, Medals as well as Sweets.
Attractive Trophies were distributed to Top finishers in Under-15, 13, 11, 9 and Under-7 groups in Boys as well as Girls categories.
IA Shiva Iyer was the Chief Arbiter who was assisted by FA Amit Tembhurne, SNA Swati Kumbhalkar, SNA Prayas Ambade, SNA Akash Rewatkar, SNA Shrikant Bagde and SNA Shyam Agrawal.
