People prefer orange for Reach I, aqua for Reach III

While the entire machinery at MahaMetro is busy in the preparations of the trial runs, the citizens are also equally enthusiastic and eagerly waiting for Metro to start its operations.

The feedback sought from the people by MahaMetro through Facebook about the colours of pillars on the route evoked tremendous response. As many as 60 per cent of the people voted for the city’s colour orange for the pillars on Reach I Khapri to Sitabuldi route. While 22 per cent voted for green, 10 per cent for aqua (blue) and eight per cent voted for red.

Similarly, 65 per cent of the people voted for aqua for the Reach III Lokmanya Nagar to Sitabuldi route. 20 per cent voted for green, 10 per cent for red and five per cent voted for orange. Looking at the encouraging response from the people, Maha Metro has extended the survey for five more days and hence people can register their choice till February 18. Maha Metro has further appealed to a large numbers of people to participate in the exercise and register their feedback or choice through Facebook or on helpline number 1800 2700 557.
