GMC wins Dr Nilima Pawade Memorial Ophthalmic Quiz

-IGGMC are 1st runner-ups while Mahatme Eye Hospital team are 2nd runner-ups

Eight teams of Vidarbha keenly contested in Late Dr Nilima Pawade Memorial Inter Collegiate Ophthalmic Quiz organised by Ophthalmological Society Nagpur (OSN). Participating teams had three PG students each from GMC, IGMC, LMH, Suraj Eye institute, Mahatme Eye Institute all from Nagpur and PDMC Amravati, JNMC Wardha, Vasantrao Naik GMC, Yawatmal. Team of Govt. Medical College Nagpur scored highest points and was declared winners while IGGMC are runner-ups.

Mahatme Eye Hospital team was 2nd runner-ups. The prize distribution of trophies and certificates was done at the hands of Dr Milind Pawade, who had started the Post Graduate Inter Collegiate Quiz since last 13 years in memory of his wife Late Dr Nilima Pawade a well-known Ophthalmologist.

The quiz masters were Dr Trupti Lambat, Dr Sameer Gade and Dr Palak Shah who conducted the different rounds efficiently. Dr Shashank Bidaye and Nikita Vyawhare acted as Scorers. While time keeping was observed by Dr Kavita Singh and Dr Shilpi Narnawre.

All the Institute teachers Dr Rajesh Joshi, GMC, Dr Sachin Agrawal, IGMC, Dr Rekha Khandelwal, LMH, Dr Sarang Lambat Suraj Eye Institute, Dr Sudhir Pendke, Yawatmal, Dr Archana Manekar Amravati and Dr Daigawne JNMC guided the students for preparing for the quiz. Dr Varsha Rahatekar president OSN, made welcome speech while Dr Rishikesh Mayee, secretary proposed the vote of thanks.

Number of members OSN attended the quiz and cheered the participants. The quiz was followed by general body meeting and new team was elected for next term.
