Gadkari performs bhoomipujan of four new projects of MOIL

It was a busy day for MOIL on Friday when bhoomipujan of its four projects including new ferro alloys plant at Gumgaon Mine, new high speed shaft at Gumgaon mine, new mine at Parsoda and a CBSE pattern school at Munsar in association with DAV – a new initiative under MOIL’s CSR were performed by Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari at Gumgaon Mine of MOIL.

Maharashtra Energy Minister and Guardian Minister of Nagpur district Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Rajya Sabha MP Dr Vikas Mahatme, Ramtek MP Krupal Tumane, and Zilla Parishad President Nisha Sawarkar graced the occasion.

 

 

 

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, Gadkari highlighted major initiatives taken for overall development of the region and also applauded MOIL for improving its performance year after year. He emphasised that these new projects would generate additional employment opportunities for close to 1000 local youths, adding to the economic prosperity of the area. He desired that MOIL should grow further, ploughing back its profits for expansion. He also asked MOIL to plan for quality education facilities in Khapa region and take initiatives to make the region greener.

The Nagpur MP also appreciated the persuasion and efforts taken by Tumane and Bawankule for making electricity available at lower cost in the region.

The dignitaries were welcomed by MOIL CMD M P Chaudhari, Director Production & Planning Dipankar Shome, Director Finance Rakesh Tumane, Director Human Resources- Usha Singh and Chief Vigilance Officer Sharat Chandra Tiwari.

A huge gathering of more than 4000 people turned out to witnessthe the event at the MOIL football ground. MOIL’s production for the next year is targeted at 15 lakh tonnes, which is about 50 per cent % more than 2016-17 production.
