AP drub Vidarbha by nine wicket

Andhra Pradesh girls drubbed Vidarbha by nine wickets in Womens Cricket Under-23 One Day League at VCA Civil Lines Stadium, here on Monday.

Vidarbha won the toss and elected to bat first. They were bundled out for just 133 in 50 overs. Opening pair Latika Inamdar (19, 50b, 3×4) and Vaishnavi Khandkar (22, 72b, 2×4) gave them good start by making 51 run partnership for first wicket. Captain Disha Kasat top scored with 40 in 68 balls with the help of seven boundaries. Apart from these three batswomen none other sustained for the long time on the crease.

For Andhra, Saranya Gadwal (3 for 31) was the main wicket taker. CH Jhansi Laxmi (2 for 17) also bowled well.

In reply, Andhra achieved the target easily losing just one wicket in 32.4 overs. Captain Anusha leading from the front scored unbeaten 55 in 76 balls hitting six boundaries. She was well supported by CH Jhansi Laxmi who scored 41 (72 b, 6×4). Anjali Sarvani remained not out on 35.

Vidarbha will play their next match against Mumbai on Tuesday.
