Dinanath High School defeated Bhadang Cricket Club by 14 runs to win 48th Dadasaheb Karnewar Memorial Inter-Club Tennisball Cricket Tournament jointly organised by Vidarbha Gymkhana and Nahatkar Sports Academy at Dinanath High School ground, here on Wednesday.
Batting first Dinanath scored 86 for 6 in ten overs. Vedant Madankar top scored with 32 hitting four boundaries and one six. Rushikesh Tiwari (26), Chinmay Harde (13) too batted well. For Bhandang Club, Shlok Tamaskar claimed four wickets conceding 33 runs.
In reply Bhadang Cricket Club were restricted to 72 for 5 in 10 overs. The efforts of Akash Ghuse who scored 24 went in vain. Yash Ghorpade (14) and Ayush Pikalmunde (11) were other scorers.
For Dinanath, Sahil Deotale and Anuj Tiwari claimed two wickets each.
The Kanrewar Memorial Leatherblal Cricket Tournament will start from May 5.
