Annual function of SGR- MS Dhoni Cricket Academy

First Annual Day Function of SGR MS Dhoni Cricket Academy (MSDCA), MS Dhoni’s first Residential Academy in India.

On Saturday, May 25, 2019 SGR MSDCA celebrated their first Annual Day Function in style at SGR Sports Academy premises at Gaikwad-Patil International School, Dhuti, Dongargaon, Nagpur.

Main attraction of this event was the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Peasant Vida, former India player, Vice- president of VCA and Chairman of CDC (Cricket Development Committee), the other guest who shared the stage were Dr. Mohan Gaikwad, Chairman Gaikwad-Patil Group, Shabih Chaurasia, Director, Principal GPIS.

The ceremony started with deep prajwalan and saraswati pujan by the hands of guests.

SGR-MSDCA felicitated their players for their achievements in the last entire year. All the players were proud to receive the trophies by the hands of Prashant Vaidya.

The names of those players are as follows, Kshitij Deosant selected for U-16 selection matches, Ajay Waya U-19 category, Amey Gotefode U-14, Chaomin Baruah U-23 category (representing Assam State), Krishna Nayak U-19 (Representing Orrissa State), also nine girls got slected in their specific age group for VCA Camp, their names are as follows,U-16  Sapna Shinde, Archi Saryam, U-19 Aachal Wankhede, Shubhangi Shinde, U-23 Saniya Chaurasia, Gargi Raut, Shibhangi Durugkar, Womens Senior Raveena Singh and Bhagyshree Khawale. Nikita Klohatkar U-19 womens MP (Madhya Pradesh).

Prashant Vaidya addressed the players & the parents present at the function. He appreciated the efforts taken and facilities provided by SGR MSDCA. He also appreciated the coaching staff for their tireless hard work and guidance given to the upcoming players. Further he insisted parents to support their children for playing cricket. Continuing his appreciation he congratulated the SGR MSDCA head Mangesh Raut and his brother Lavlesh Raut for creating outstanding Cricket facilites. He also praised and said that “this is one of the best Cricket Academy in Nagpur”. Prashant Vaidya also applauded the infrastructure facilities provided by Gaikwad Patil International School (GPIS).

The players from summer camp were felicitated by the hands of Kokila Tai Raut, Chariman SGR Foundation, Shabih Chaurasia and Anjali Ruben. Parents & players were present in full attendance and enjoyed the ceremony. The ceremony was a grand success due to the efforts put in by the SGR-MSDCA team members, comprising of, Mangesh Raut Managing Partner, Lavlesh Raut Managing partner, S. Sharma Accounts and Admin Head, Amit Hoshing BD and Marketing Head, along with all coaching Staff, Laxmikant Pande Head Caoch, Rameshwar Sonune, Kartik Joshi, Harsh Arora and Dr. Deepali Gole.

Mangesh Raut concluded the ceremony by giving vote of thanks to all the players, parents, GPIS team and all the SGR MSDCA management members.
