PUBG still a threat to youngsters

With an increasing craze of online games amongst the youth and the adults as well, it is seen as a major issue in the current period. And in this list the most harmful tend to be the mobile games, in which PUBG is being the most addictive one in the country as well as in the continent. Besides this, games like Blue whale challenge, Pass Out Challenge, the salt and ice cube challenge are in the top five list of the most dangerous and harmful games.

PUBG has already seen an opposition by the Indian Government and especially in the state of Gujarat the game was a strong contradictory topic this year, where the game was even banned.  During the ban more than two dozen teenagers were arrested for violating the law.  Besides Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and the state of Goa were also in support of this decision.

The parents are warned by the school teachers to look after their wards in such cases as a cyber security.

Anmol Badjatia, Principal of Jain International School, Nagpur says, you cannot let technology become your master and you have to know the limits. Parents should be aware of what their kids are doing online and even should be updated according to the world and cyber laws. Slight negligent behavior by parents in this case may lead to a major problem, added Badjatia.

It was also a first time experience for the parents and teachers that even during the peak time of board exams the kids were totally busy with their games and spent most of the precious hours on their cell phones. When opposed by the parents, the kids were seen taking some serious steps. In many cases the kids took it to the extreme levels, one of which was the death of a 16 year old boy in the southern part of India, when his mother scolded him for playing online game.

PUBG is an acronym of Player Unknown’s Battleground, which is a multiplayer online game developed by a South Korean company. The game was originally launched in 2017 but since the mid of last year, when the company opened mobile platforms, it has seen an enormous increases in its download and followers.

The aim of this article is to assess the impact of technology especially online games, on the private lives of people. Regardless of any habits and precautions taken, it is very important to know the risks associated with online gaming.
