NIT takes action against unauthorised religious structures in the city

Illegal religious structures were demolished in Nagpur after the order of High Court and under the guidance of Superintending Engineer (Headquarters) on Monday by Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT).

The religious spots that were raze include, Public Dutt Temple, Play Ground Dighorikar Chowk, Old Badganj, Hanuman Temple, Digorikar Ground Chowk, Old Badganj, Nagoba Temple, Near Graboba Ground, Jaymata Temple and Satnami Nagar. The structures were demolished with the help of 2 JCB and 2 Tippers.

NIT South Zone Executive Engineer Sanjay Chimurkar, Departmental Officer, Siddharth Mankar, junior engineer, Dipak Dhakate, Manohar Patil and Lakadganj Police Station’s Police Inspector Bhanudas Pindurkar and other police personnel were present at the action site.
