Shubham Bokde lifts Aditya Diddee Memorial cup

Shubham Bokde Lifts Aditya Diddee Memorial Cup

The fourth edition of Aditya Diddee Memorial CP Club Snooker Open Tournament came to a blissful end on August 30 in the Snooker Room of Central Provinces Club premises.

The prize distribution was held at 1901 of C P Club, and the Chief Guest of the evening was Ravinder Paul along with Guest of Honour Sanjiv Sahu.

The tournament has been welcoming the snooker enthusiasts from Nagpur city for the past three years and has also been a part of the CP Club sports community.

Winners with the working committee,from Left, Vishal Panchmatia, Sonu Paul, Rajesh Mohta, Sagar Borele (Runner up), Shubham Bokde (Winner), Nitin Gopalani, Amit Seth, Amit Porwal.

The final match was played between Shubham Bokde and Sagar Borele.  In a 7 set match, Shubham emerged as a winner and lifted the winning trophy with 5-2. It was a close call as both the players put their best in each set and both won 2-2 rounds simultaneously at the start but soon after the 5th set, the table turned for Shubham as he defeated Sagar with 57 points in the 5th round and the score was 81-38 respectively.

In 6th round, the score was 73-32 while in the last round the score was 66-38 respectively. The last three round was an easy win for Shubham as he was ahead of Sagar in every set. With this Shubham lifted the winning trophy of the tournament.

Here is the list of the winner who was awarded prize money

Shubham Bokade winner of the tournament won prize money of Rs 25000, Runner-up Sagar Borele was awarded Rs 15000, Semi-Finalist 1 – Tushar Mankar Rs 5000, Semi-Finalist 2 – Vishal Sole Rs 5000, Quarter Finalist 1 – Dr. Abhinav Nainani Rs 2500, Quarter Finalist 2 – Mahesh Awachat Rs2500,
