Improper arrangement, DSO tournament turns into a nightmare

Controversies have become a common phenomenon in DSO tournaments. This time also it has repeated history. The two-day inter-school Karate to Championship has been organized at divisional sports complex, Manakapur indoor hall in which around 1800 karatekas are participating. On Thursday, when the participants and their parents arrived in the venue, The AC of the indoor hall was not functioning and there was total chaos. And there was a scarcity of drinking water also. All these created a lot of problems for the participants and the National President of Civil Rights Protection Cell Dr.Milind Jivne has lodged a complaint against the organisers at Mankapur police station.

The complaint has been charged against the Event in-charge Arun Bute at Mankapur police station. And the parents were also not happy with the Karate coach Zakir Khan who was with the organisers. And when enquired about this matter to Avinash Pund of DSO, he remarked that he has not received any complaint regarding it.

As per Dr.Jivne, the DSO informed the concerned schools about the championship that was supposed to organize in various weight and age categories. On September 19, weigh-in was conducted at 3 p.m. at indoor sports complex. But there was no enough equipment and staff. As per the reports, the tournament was scheduled to start at 9 a.m. But the programme started at 11.30 am with under-14 category. And the under-17 and under -19 categories were informed that their events will be conducted on Friday at 2 p.m. And the unexpected change has created lot of problems for the participants.
