Riding on Smeet Joshi’s fabulous performance (30 points), Centre Point School, Katol Road defeated Hislop College 63-61 by just two points in Inter-School Under-19 Basketball Tournament organised by DSO at NBYS Bajaj Nagar court, here on Monday.
In an exciting encounter, CPS had shaky start lost first two quarters 14-20, 10-18. However, after a change of ends, they bounced back and won the third quarter 23-7 effortlessly. The last quarter was keenly contested. Both the teams scored 16 points each but at the end of the day, CPS pipped the opponents by two points. MAK Sancheti School achieved third place defeating CPS Wardhmannagar 39-29.
