Congress leader Gopaldas Shankarlal Agrawal MLA Gondiya district has made his entry in Bhartiya Janta Party after leaving Indian National Congress.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis along with Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Sudhakar Deshmukh, Sudhakar Kohale, Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Parinay Fuke, Hemant Patle were present to welcome Agrawal on Monday, September 30 at Hotel Center Point Ramdaspeth.
CM while addressing the gathering said that “we always had a good relation with Gopaldas even when he was working for Congress. We will be working for the betterment of the state and hope that with the arrival of Gopaladas we will win Gondiya District seats as well. I welcome other members as well who have joined BJP today. We hope that under the guidance of the eminent and powerful leader our beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi we will win in the upcoming elections as well”.
Gopaldas Agrawal said ” It is an iconic moment for me as I am joining BJP today at the time when we are on the way towards a good change. I am ready to serve the party and will fight in the upcoming elections with all dedication. I am happy that the nation’s is in the hands of one of the eminent leader PM Modi. We will work hard and with the guidance of CM Devendra Fadnavis will strike to win maximum seats in the upcoming elections”.
Other congress leaders who marked their way to the BJP along with Gopaldas Agrawal were Ashish Dai, Ashok Lanje and Dilip Asati. Supporters from both Gondiya and Nagpur District came down to support the leaders today.
CM Fadnavis also gave hints of more people from the opposite party to join BJP in the future.
