Bharatiya Janta Party regains their power from Kamthi constituency as Shrawan Teckchand Sawarkar won with majority votes 1,18,182 defeating Indian National Congress candidate Suresh Bhoyar 1,07,066.
All eyes were on Kamthi constituency since the day BJP did not give ticket to Chandrashekhar Bawankule who earlier won for BJP in Kamthi in earlier elections.
From Nagpur South constituency Mohan Mate has emerged as a winner with 84,339 votes defeating Indian National Congress candidate Girish Pandav who received 80,326 votes. It was a close call between Mane and Pandav as both were in a lead after every other consecutive rounds.
