Cong to Protest Against Economic Crisis in City Today | Nagpur News

Nagpur City (District) Congress Committee is to stage demonstration at Samvidhan Square today against mishandling of the economy by Bharatiya Janata Party.

After a long-time Congress Party is back on streets to assert its identity. Perhaps the success it tasted in recently held assembly election forced Congress Party to realise the need for keeping in touch with electorate.

A Congress release said mishandling of economy by BJP has resulted in all-round problems for citizens. Through the agitation the Opposition wants to focus on incessant rains that have damaged standing crops leading to another farm crisis and yet no response is seen from Government. Public sector banks are on verge of financial collapse due to mounting debt as slowdown in economy has resulted in dwindling demand that affected manufacturing sector leading to default.

After the agitation a delegation will called on District Collector and submit a memorandum. Vikas Thakre, MLA, and President of city Congress Committee will lead the agitation. All the office bearers, ex-MLA, ex-MPs, corporators, state committee office bearers will also be participating in the agitation.
