Every single girl, women they are now more scared. And every single time is asking the brutal society, Am I the next one?
The recent news of Dr. Priyanka Reddy who was raped and burnt alive on her way when she was returning home at around 9.30 has trembled the whole country. I don’t understand what more to say about this case and what to feel about such incidents anymore.
As a 21 year old girl, I m now more scared and I don’t understand how to go alone outside and how to live the life fully. Because every single time, I go out alone, I ask myself question, Am I the next one? My parents warned me every time, don’t return alone from work, don’t trust anyone, keep your mobile fully charged, keep in contact with us every time. They are scared that someone is keeping watch on me and going to harm me someday. And I won’t be surprised if they do.

As a girl, I don’t know how I am supposed to feel or expect that the condition of women in India is in the gutter. When rape happens anywhere, People post it, post it as a story, they make it viral, they talk about it for several days. Then stop. But after that, what? Everyone forget it and wait for some other rape case. Rape cases are day by day increasing in country. Every few days later we hear such kind of news and then people talk about it and shut up.
In such rape cases, more than rapists the girl is blame for wearing clothes, which shows her skin, not to make male friends, to stop going outside at night and many things. Inspite of all this things, I don’t understand why anyone can’t teach the boys / men’s to stop behaving like animals, to stop staring at girls and women no matter what they wear. Not to touch them without their consent.
We all are much aware about the case of Nirbhaya, who was rapped 7 years back. For such cases and for the recent case of Priyanka Reddy a silent protest was carried out by Youth Against Injustice & GroWill Foundation, Nagpur on 1 December, 2019 At Futala lake, Nagpur. Various activities were performed by team members like raps, poem recitations, teaching self defense techniques to create awareness. Rohit and art group also gave a very impactful performance. Three of the team members are on cycling campaign of 30,000 Km through which they spread awareness about mission “Rape Free India”.The main aim of the program was to demand justice to Nirbhaya and hang the rapists on 16 December 2019. We hope that everyone understands the seriousness of the situations and join hands with us to make India a Rape Free Country.
Well, no matter how much we write about such cases, how many posts we made, how we do it viral, how much we create awareness about such cases, this things are not going to stop unless and until rapists are not hanged immediately inspite of being prisoned for years.
No girl ,women is safe in country. Not more to say ,but the last thing I want to tell every ladies/girls, “Don’t trust anyone , Trust yourself only “. Don’t wait for Justice. This is not going to stop. Rape is happening and it will happen. No justice will ever be served. “KHUD KI LADAI ,KHUD HI LADNI HOGI”.
