Swacch Association has started an initiative of Swacch Soldiers who will pick up your dry recyclable waste at your door step. This way we will ensure citizens involvement for systematic segregation by way of sending their dry recyclable wastes to the proper factories/whole sell recycles.
This will also help in reducing the landfills which is an increasing problem and an environmental hazard as well as provide extra income to the house-wives and a pride to be a responsible citizen helping to keep Nagpur clean.
Our Swacch Soldiers will pick-up the dry recyclable waste on appointment at your given time between 11 a.m to 5 p.m. and will weigh it by electronic scale. If the material is less than 10 kgs we would appreciate/request you to kindly donate it as, for such small quantities we may not be able to handle the logistics. For more than 10 kgs Swacch Soldiers will pay as per the classification at specified rates.
The collected material will be provided to MRF centers set-up by women self-help groups promoted by Nagpur Municipal Cooperation and Swacch Association. This initiation has been promoted through blessings of Mayor Sandeep Joshi and Municipal Commissioner Abhijeet Bangar. We appreciate the support from CFSD also.
