A good news for poor and needy patients,as it has been reported that the Super Speciality Hospital in city is likely to become the first government hospital in the state to perform heart transplant surgery. Recently the two member committee visited and made an inspection for performing of heart transplant surgeries at the Government Medical College and Hospital also the Super Speciality Hospital (SSH) in city.
Earlier, Dr.Mitra had sent the proposal for conducting heart transplant to the health department. After that the two member committee visited the Super Speciality Hospital and inspected the CVTS department’s operation theatre, intensive care unit. And as per information, the committee will soon be presenting its report to the health department and anticipating a green signal for the project.
The kidney transplant centre in SSH has given a ray of life to many patients suffering kidney ailments. As per information,CVTS department head Dr.Nikunj Pawar is taking efforts under the guidance of Dr.Mitra for setting up the new department.
