20 teams including 280 players, from across pan India i.e; Dubai, Lucknow, Gwalior, Bhilai, Mumbai, Raipur, Durg, Bhopal and Gujarat have confirmed participation in the 5th, R.P.C.L., All India Tennis ball cricket tournament at the Mecosabagh Methodist ground, Kadbi Chowk, Nagpur from February 1 to 12.
Six local’s teams are also part of the tournament. The winners besides trophy will receive Rs. Two Lacs Fifty Thousand as prize money while runners up will get Rs. One Lac Twenty five thousand as reward. Bhatia farms are the Main Sponsors of this event while oriental Insurance is the Associate Sponsors. Individual awards including Man of the match for each game will also be handed over to respective winner players. Best batsman, bowler, & Man of the series will also be awarded. Man of the series will be awarded Hero Xtreme 200 R, from Aditya Auto.
Teams will be divided into four groups and two teams from each group will qualify for the knock out stage.
The All India cricket league includes top National players are expected to include some of the top players to participate in the inaugural winter cricket carnival.
The players will be provided special cricket dress to participate in the Annual event. Man of the Match for each game besides Man of Series will also be a major feature of this event. Individual awards / gift vouchers etc will also be a major attraction of this inaugural event.
The tournament will be formally inaugurated on Saturday February 1, at 5. 00 pm at the hands of Hon’ble Sarabjeet Singh Bhatia, Managing Director, Bhatia Farms & Arun Kumar Jaiswar – Chief Regional Manager (Nagpur Circle), Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd., under the Chairmanship of Mr. Kodumal Dhanrajani, Chairman RPCL – 5 and MD, Shrikrishan Traders and Nagpur Restaurant., Nagpur, in the august presence of Rev. Prakash Timothy Priest Incharge, St. Thomas Church, Hanuman Nagar, Rachna S. Singh – Principal, St. Ursula Girls High School & Jr. College, Secretary, M.R.B.E., Lillian J. Makasare – Principal, Bishop Cotton School C.B.S.E. & Treasurer, M.R.B.E., Dr. P. K.
