Bhaik stars in TOI’s close victory

In an exciting match, defending champion The Times of India pipped spirited Deshonnati by eight runs in 22nd OCW-SJAN Inter-Press Cricket Tournament at Ambedkar College ground, here on Monday.

The tournament has been organized by Sports Journalists’ Association of Nagpur (SJAN)  in association with SBI and HCL Technologies.

Batting first TOI scored 176 for 3 in 20 overs. After losing three wickets for just 33, Rupesh Bhaik (81*, 59b, 13×4, 1×6) and Sandeep Dabhekar (58*, 44b, 10×4) made 143 run unbroken partnership for the fourth wicket.

In reply, Deshonnati missed the target by just eight runs. Sandeep Ganar’s 39-ball 77 run knock went in vain.
