Jay, Shraddha U-11 chess champs

Jay Sawalakhe and Shraddha Bajaj emerged winners in their respective categories in  Nagpur District Under – 11 Open and  Girls Selection Chess Championship 2020  held at Indoor  Sports Complex, Dhanwate National College on Sunday.
In the open section, Jay and Rupal Wanjari earned seven points each. However, in the direct encounter, Sawalakhe defeated Wanjari and won the title. Sanskar Gaigore achieved third place with 6.5 points.

In the girls section,  Shraddha Bajaj and Vritika Game scored 5.5 points each. However, on the basis of the progressive score, Shraddha was declared champion whereas Vritika had to be satisfied with the runners-up position. Vedika Pal achieved third place with (5,14.500 points.
The prizes were distributed at hands of international arbiter  Swapnil Bansod.  The other dignitaries present were NDCA organising secretary  Umesh Panbude chief arbiter  Pravin Pantawane assistant arbiter Shrikant Bagde  and others.

U-11 open: 1. Sawalakhe Jay (7, 36.5), 2. Rupal Wanjari (7, 40.5), 3. Gaigore Sanskar (6.5, 39), 4. Chitre Arush ( 6, 40.5), 5. Kumbhalkar Sparsh (6, 38.5), 6.  Saraogi Vivaan Vijay (6, 37), 7. Sadhwani Prince (6, 36.5), 8 .Abhirp Dhote (6, 34), 9 Bhartia Aarav (6,33.5), 10. Bhange Adityasing (6, 32).
U-11 girls: 1. Shraddha Bajaj (5.5, 21.75), 2. Vritika Krushna Game (5.5, 19.25), 3. Pal Vedika (5, 14.50), 4. Mishrikotkar Vidhi (5, 13), 5. Kumbhalkar Anisha (4.5, 15.75), 6. Sole Swanandi  (4.5,12.75), Chandankhede Divyanshi (4, 12), 8.Shanaya Shailendra Shelkar(4, 12), 9. Lakshita Rathod (4, 11.00), 10. Zunzunwala Sparkle (4, 11.00)
