Famous gardens in the city will now get a new makeover under the city development plans. The municipal corporation has decided to convert the city gardens into beautiful theme-based parks.
Every morning citizens of Nagpur go for morning walks in city gardens. Recently during various public relations programme with Mayor Sandeep Joshi, many people complain about the deteriorating conditions of the gardens. The citizens have demanded the proper maintenance of cleanliness, green gym, electric lamps, etc. in the park.
Considering the complaints raised by the citizens, Tukaram Mundhe has directed that the concept beautify city gardens to be implemented soon.
According to the information, under the theme park plan, Lata Mangeshkar Park in East Nagpur will be developed as a butterfly garden. Commissioner Latina, jasmine, sunflower, rose flowers in the park will invite butterflies to this park.
The Mahatma Gandhi Park in Hanuman Nagar will be built based on the Fragrance theme. Aromatic flowers such as Madhumalati, Parijat, Mogra, Kunda, Jai, Ratrani, Sonchafa have been planted there. The perfume of these trees is going to entice the visitors.
A variety of pleasing and aromatic plants have been set up in the Tin Shatabdi Park in Nandanwan Bharatmata-Dr. Ambedkar Park will be developed as a rose garden.
The new flower trees have been designed in a park spread over two acres of Namdev Nagar adjacent to Kalamna Road Shantinagar. On the two sides of the entrance, 10-12 feet high flowering trees have been planted that give abundant yellow flowers.
As per the directives of the municipal commissioner, the beauty of the park will be enhanced by planting trees with pink flowers on all three sides of this park.
Jagrut colony park Jagrut Colony Park was established in 2018-19 under the Amrit scheme on Katol Road. Shabari and other flower plants are designed in this park. Within a year, the park was well developed. It has bamboo yoga shed and toys for children, green gym for adults have been arranged in this park.
Dayanand Park will be changed into an adventure park Dayanand Park in the Jaripatka area of North Nagpur. There is a fast pace in view. Sky Walk, children’s playground, beautiful lawn, almonds, and gooseberry trees are some of the other features in Dayanand Park.
