Indian Railways the fourth biggest rail network of the world has always proved to be valuable every time be it in providing services or helping country in fight against the deadly Coronavirus.
During the lockdown, the Indian Railways always offered its helping hand from converting trains to COVID-19 dedicated facility to transport essential needs to all over the country. It has converted the old coaches into emergency care units. In this critical juncture, Indian Railways also carried out the responsibility of feeding the poor by transporting food grains, medicines ,109 time-tabled parcel trains over 58 routes are being run; while more than 400 rakes are moving essentials day and night and what more, informed IRCTC.Besides this, the Indian railways has been serving cooked meals to 2.5 lakh people daily.
