Nagpur maintains recovery rate, reports 588 fresh COVID cases, tally reaches 89087

Nagpur district continued its good show in recovery rate over the national average in COVID-19 cases on Thursday too. It also witnessed a reduction in the number of new coronavirus positive cases today. Meanwhile, the number of testings has decreased, which still can be a cause for worry. The recovery rate now stands at 88.50%.

On October 15, the second capital of the state registered 588 fresh coronavirus positive cases. After today’s addition, the cumulative number of cases is 89,087.

Also, 23 patients succumbed to the infection, taking the death toll to 2892 From the total deaths 2043 are reported from the city and 515 from rural, and the rest 334 from out of Nagpur, an official release said.

On Thursday 603 persons became free of the virus-borne disease taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 78,844 (including 42,571 home isolation recoveries). After the fresh updates, a total of 7351 patients are active in the city.

Today’s 588 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
AIIMS (18), GMC (37), IGGMC (93), MAFSU (0), NEERI (31), Private Lab (228) and Antigen (181).

Today’s 23 fatality cases belonged to:
Rural (2), City (13) and out of the city (8)
