Kanta Prasad the owner of the famous ‘Baba ka Dhaba’ which went viral on October 7 after the couple shared their struggle story with a YouTuber Gaurav Wasan has filed a complaint against him for misappropriating the money which was raised to help him in this difficult time.
Kanta Prasad, the owner of the famous Baba Ka Dhaba in South Delhi alleged that Gaurav has been misappropriating money that was raised to help him and his wife. He did not share any information about the funds
Prasad said “I only got a cheque of Rs 2 lakh from Wasan. People just come here to take selfies, my business has also decreased from Rs 10,000 a day to Rs 3,000-5,000 a day. Prasad complains states that Wasan deliberately shared his and his family’s bank details and collected huge amounts as donations.
DCP (South) Atul Kumar Thakur said, “We received the complaint yesterday and we are enquiring about it. No FIR has been registered yet.”
The YouTuber Wasan has totally denied all the allegations and said that he has transferred all the money received by him to Kanta Prasad’s bank account. He has also put up a bank statement on Facebook in which the total money credited in three days is around Rs 3.5 lakh.
