Netflix India’s original series “Delhi Crimeâ€, helmed by an Indian Canadian director has won the best drama series honour at the 48th International Emmy Awards in the year 2020. The series is a fictionalized retelling of the 2012 Delhi gang-rape and murder case.
Actress Shefali Shah plays the role of the Deputy Commissioner of Police and her character is tasked with finding the culprits and dealing with the aftermath of the brutal crime.
On the other hand, another Indian series of Amazon Prime, “Four more shorts pleaseâ€, that was nominated for the best comedy series lost out.
