Director-general (legal & technical) Hemant Nagrale will hold additional charge as DGP replacing Subodh Jaiswal, who was appointed as Director-General of Central Industrial Security Force a week back.
Today Maharashtra Government today relieved Subodh Jaiswal from the post of DGP of Maharashtra Police.
The Appointment’s Committee of the Union Cabinet earlier approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to appoint Maharashtra DGP Subodh Jaiswal as the director-general of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
Hemant Nagarale has been given the post of Director General and Inspector General of Police, Maharashtra State.
After Jaiswal’s appointment, there was uncertainty on entrusting the charge as it will take more than a week to appoint a regular DGP.
