The results of the 130 Gram Panchayat’s of Nagpur District were declared on Monday. Both the major party Congress and BJP claimed their majority in the election. Rajendra Mulak, former Minister and President of Nagpur District Rural Congress Committee, while talking to The Live Nagpur said that the congress has started its winning run.

“We won with majority in the Zilla Parashid and Panchayat Sammittee election. Equally good was the performance in the Nagpur Division Graduate Constituency election, in which Adv Abhijeet Wanjari won. Todays performance is also on the same lines.

We have won 90 of the total 130 Gram Panchayat’s who’s counting completed today,” Mulak claimed. He added that  people’s faith on congress has started restoring  and soon will be visible in the future in the Lok Sabha and Vidhan  Sabha.

According to Mulak, continuous contact with people, unity of the party under the support of Minister like Sunil Kedar, Dr Nitin Raut and other leaders has started good days for congress.

BJP’s District President Arvind Gajbhiye through a press release has claimed that BJP has won 73 Gram Panchayat out of the 130 where election was held on January 15 and result declared today. Gajbhiye claimed that BJP has straight win over 63 Gram Panchayat, and with the help of independent’s it has clear majority on 8 more Gram Panchayat.

According to Gajbhiye the success of BJP was due to the network of roads build by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, development work done by former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Chandrashekar Bawankul and the efforts of the party workers.
