Nagpur distt reports all time high 74 deaths, 4634 recoveries

Panicky about coronavirus as the pandemic is at its peak. People are thronging hospitals for treatment but shortage of medical facilities is turning the situation grimmer. Meanwhile, COVID-19 death count continues to haunt the administration and healthworkers too. On Thursday,  Nagpur district witnessed 74 deaths which is the highest since the pandemic hit the globe. In the day 5,813 persons tested positive for the novel coronavirus taking the cumulative positive cases to
2,99849.

Number of fatalities registered today is a new all-time high, of those 39 are from Nagpur district while 30 belonged to Nagpur rural. The toll of fatalities has now crossed the 6k mark and stands 6034.

It is worth mentioning here that maximum  hospitals in the district are facing the issue of non-availability of beds, every person even testing positive for coronavirus is approaching hospitals. Healthworkers though are trying hard, the situation is getting worsened.

From today total fresh cases 3458 were residents of Nagpur while 2350 were from Nagpur rural area.

On Thursday, 4634 persons became free from coronavirus which is a good figure the district registered after long time. With today’s recovery the cumulative recovery rose to 232705. The recovery rate climed to 77.60% recovery rate.This has resulted in rise in number of active cases to 6110.
