Science and Technology Department of Government of India has granted permission to manufacture Corona vaccine to Haffkine Institute, Mumbai.
The vaccine will be made with the help of Bharat Biotech.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has thanked Prime Minister for the decision. It is an important decision in view of shortage of vaccines in the state. Maharashtra will be the first state to make Corona vaccine.
