The situation in Nagpur district is getting worst day by day. On Sunday the district not only reported the highest number of new cases but also reported an all-new high of fatality cases on the second consecutive day. Today the district reported 7107 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the toll of positive cases to 323106. Of the total new cases, 4602 persons tested positive for the novel virus in the city while 2498 were reported from the rural areas.
The number of deaths due to coronavirus continues to trouble the administration as on Sunday 85 succumbed to the infection. From the total 45 were residents of Nagpur and from rural 33 persons succumbed to this dreaded virus. With these, the cumulative number has gone to 6273.
The COVID-19 recovery has gone down slightly in the district. The slight low recovery resulted in rising in active cases. Today, 3987 persons became free from coronavirus in the district. This has taken the cumulative corona-free number to 2247590. The number of active cases rose to 69243. The recovery rate has gone down to 76.63 % in the district.
