The downward trajectory of Covid cases and deaths in Nagpur district bring some good news for the people here. On Sunday, the district witnessed new COVID-19 cases below 2,000, for the third consecutive day.
Apart from positive cases, the daily death count is also reducing which is a huge relief for the administration. Today, the district registered 30 fatalities which is lowest death count since the second wave of the virus hit the district. Out of the total, 9 cases were from city. This took the total of fatalities to 8550.
This drastic reduction in deaths, and good recoveries took the recovery rate to 91.71%.
The district has registered a one-and-a half months low new COVID -19 cases as 1,133 persons tested positive for coronavirus in one-single day. Of the total new cases today, 726 persons were the residents of Nagpur while 396 belongs to rural areas. With these the cumulative positive cases reached to 463243.
Constant rise in COVID-19 recoveries led to increase in the recovery rate and decrease in active cases as only 29843 persons remain active now.
Today 4519 persons became coronafree taking the cumulative recovery to 424850.
