Four-and-a-half years after Vin Diesel’s xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Deepika Padukone is all geared up for her next Hollywood venture.
Unlike the previous film, she will not only star in the project but also co-produce the film. This upcoming venture is a cross-cultural romantic comedy, it is being developed by Eros STX Global Corporations division STXfilms.
The Chennai Express actress will be co-producing the project under her production banner, KA productions. Besides this, STXfilms is said to be in talks with Temple Hill Productions, who are know of the Twilight franchise and The Fault in Our Stars. Deepika Padukone as per her statement published in PTI said, “KA Productions was founded with the aim to develop and produce purposeful content with global appeal.” Also, the actress is looking forward to this collaboration with STXfilms and Temple Hill Productions as they share the same ambition and vision as her production banner.
She further added, “I’m thrilled to be partnering with STXfilms and Temple Hill Productions, who share KA’s ambition and creative vision and look forward to bringing impactful and dynamic cross cultural stories to the world.”
The chairman of STXfilms Motion Picture Group, Adam Fogelson is equally excited to collaborate with the Chhapaak actress keeping in mind her stardom and her talent.
He said, “There is a reason Deepika is one of the biggest global stars to come from India. She is enormously talented with an infectious personality and her profile continues to grow as an international superstar.”

We believe this project gives us the opportunity to tap into the spirit, voice, characters and vibrant settings of India and New York in ways that made Crazy Rich Asians feel so authentic and fresh.” Deepika Padukone donned the producer’s hat with her last release Chhapaak helmed by Meghna Gulzar. She will next be producing The Intern’s Bollywood remake under her banner, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan. On the work front, she also has Shakun Batra’s untitled film, Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathan, Fighter opposite Hrithik Roshan and Project K with Prabhas
