‘Vande Mataram Udyan will inspire youths’

Praising Vande Mataram Udyan as a novel idea, Honorary Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav (retd), youngest recipient of Param Vir Chakra and Kargil war hero, said that Vande Mataram U ‘Vande Matamra Udyan after completion would inspire youths to serve the nation.

Praising Vande Mataram Udyan as a novel idea, Honorary Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav (retd), youngest recipient of Param Vir Chakra and Kargil war hero, said that this udyan after completion would inspire youths to serve the nation.

He was speaking after performing bhoomipujan of the udyan in Bajeria on Friday evening. The udyan is a tribute to 21 Param Vir Chakra recipients and to martyrs of national movement. The function was organised by Nagpur Municipal Corporation to mark Amrut Mahotsava and 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhashchandra Bose. Earlier, a rally was taken out in the area in which citizens showered petal on Capt Yadav. Dayashankar Tiwari, the Mayor, also participated in it.

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Surface Transport, was the chief guest while Chandrakant Patil, President, BJP, Maharashtra, MLC Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Manisha Dhawde, Deputy Mayor, Prakash Bhoyar, Chairman of Standing Committee, and Avinash Thakre, Ruling Party Leader, were the guests of honour. Tiwari presided over the function in Rajendra Sonkusre, Divya Dhurde, Shraddha Pathak, Vandana Bhagat, Sunil Hiranwar, Upendra Kothekar, Girish Vyas, Adv Sanjaykumar Balpande, Vidya Kanehere, Sarla Nayak, Ujwala Sharma, Major General Uda, Col Bhatnagar, Ravinra Bhelawe, Amol Chaurpagar and Ashok Patil were prominently present.

Addressing the gathering Capt Yadav took emotional possession of the member of audience when he narrated happenings during Kargil war as well as dedication of jawans, when raised slogans.

Addressing the gathering, Gadkari appreciated the concept of Tiwari in developing this udyan in Bajeria. The youths will get inspiration from this udyan, he added.

Patil and Tiwari also expressed their views on the occasion. Manish Soni conducted the function while Sanjay Balpande proposed a vote of thanks.
