‘Do not compel us to take drastic step’ : Disha Salian’s parents

Parents of Disha Salian, former manager of Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput, have appealed to the politicians, film actors and media persons not to use the death of their daughter for political benefits. They have requested with folded hands to let them live peacefully. With so much of humiliation since her death on June 8, 2020, they have not been able to move out of their residence.

The case of Disha’s suicide is again being raised by Union Minister Narayan Rane and BJP Leader Chandrakant Patil. Rane has stated that she was raped and killed. Those involved will be exposed and will have to face imprisonment.  His son and MLA Nitesh Rane has alleged that her body was shifted in a black Mercedes car. He has expressed suspicion that the car belongs to suspended police officer Sachin Waze.

Patil has stated that the documents related to the case will be brought to the fore soon.

Disha’s parents have expressed satisfaction with the investigation by the police. She was under stress for losing two contracts. They have refuted other possibilities, which the politicians are expressing for political purposes.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar has lodged a complaint with the Maharashtra Women’s Commission, against Nitesh Rane for misuse of the case.

Disha’s parents have also appealed to the Women’s Commission that their daughter is being defamed. The politicians and media have made their life difficult. “If we take any drastic step, they all will be responsible for it”, they have stated in the letter to the Women’s Commission.
