Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik Wednesday was arrested after questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering case linked to the activities of the Mumbai underworld, fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his aides.
ED officials took Malik to a government hospital for medical check-up said will fight, will win and will expose everyone.

The 62-year-old Maharashtra minister was being questioned in a money laundering probe linked to the activities of the Mumbai underworld, fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his aides, officials said. He had reached the ED’s south Mumbai office in the Ballard Estate area around 8 am and was being grilled since then.
Recently, the ED had carried out multiple raids and also took custody of Dawood Ibrahim’s brother Iqbal Kaskar in the same case. According to sources, some evidence related to property purchased by Nawab Malik has surfaced during the ongoing investigation.
Malik is the second NCP leader in the Mahavikas Aghadi Ministry, after Anil Deshmukh, to be arrested on charges of money laundering.
The Opposition leaders have demanded Malik’s resignation. The Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will meet NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar for discussion on the issue.
