The budget session of Maharashtra legislature began on a stormy note with the Governor curtailing his address to both the Houses and left the House.
The Opposition raised slogans demanding resignation or removal of Nawab Malik from the ministry and Ruling Party members demanding apology of the Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari for making allegedly derogatory statement against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Bharatiya Janata Patry Spokesperson Ashish Shelar stated that maintaining peace during the session and Governor’s address is responsibility of the ruling party and the Speaker and Chairman. Raising slogans during his (Governor’s) speech is his insult.

The Opposition (BJP) members came out of the House. Shelar and Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis stated that the Opposition is determined to continue with their demand of resignation of Nawab Mailk, who has been arrested for money laundering, connection with the underworld, purchase of property with persons involved in serial bomb blast in Mumbai.
The Ruling Party members, however, alleged the Opposition for insulting the National Anthem, recited before and after the Governor’s addres to both the House, before the budget session begins.
