Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has been divested of all the ministries. He is in the jail on charges of money laundering and connection with the underworld.
Although Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government has not removed him from the ministry, his portfolios are being handed over to other ministers. The decision of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) was announced by Jayant Patil, Minister for Water Resources in the MVA Government and a senior leader of NCP.
Malik was also Guardian Minister of Parbhani and Gondia districts. Parbhani’s charge is being handed over to Jitendra Awhad, while Prajakt Tanpure will be incharge of Gondia district.
