40 electric scooters of Jitendra EV catch fire in Nashik

Around 40 electric scooters from Jitendra Electric Vehicles(EV) caught fire after being loaded in a transport container in Nashik on April 11.

The event occurred near the Jitendra Electric Vehicle facility. According to CNBC-TV18, the scooters were being transported to Bengaluru and no one was wounded. According to the company, an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.

Meanwhile, the government decided to contact Ola Electric and Okinawa Scooters on April 7 to inquire about recent fires in their electric two-wheelers. Several customers were alarmed when an Ola electric scooter and an Okinawa electric bike caught fire.

According to government sources, both businesses’ technical teams will be summoned after an independent expert probe is completed.

The topic of EV safety has been brought to the forefront in light of recent events involving scooters from well-known EV brands exploding into flames.
