On the requisition of MP Government, IAF deployed two Medium Lift Helicopters Mi17 V5 at Vidisha Madhya Pradesh, for humanitarian assistance & disaster relief operations.
Helicopters carried out 10 Sorties towards the mission and rescued 25 personnel and moved them to safer locations, who are stuck due to floods. The operations included both winching and low hover operation. The helicopters continue to remain deployed for rescue operations.
