T20 International cricket match in city, online tickets from Sept 18

The Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) is all set to host the second Twenty20 International of the three-match series, scheduled to be played against world champions Australia on September 23 at its swanky stadium in Jamtha, Nagpur. 

The game will be a day-night affair under the newly-installed LED floodlights, which offer better visibility to players on the ground and also a seamless viewing experience for the television audience. 

The VCA stadium in Jamtha, Nagpur which can accommodate 44,000- odd spectators, will be hosting an international T20 match after almost three years.  

Sale of tickets to the general public (Online) will commence on September 18. Online tickets for the match will be available on Paytm from on insider.in 

The sale of tickets to Life Members and VCA-affiliated clubs will commence on September 15 at Bilimoria Pavilion, VCA, Civil Lines, Nagpur, from 9 am to 6 pm.

The sale of tickets to members will be done offline. A member can collect tickets on behalf of only four other members on the production of their Membership Cards. 

Life Members are entitled to a complimentary ticket in the airconditioned Members’ Stand. They can swap their member’s ticket with any lower denomination ticket if they so desire. 

Apart from this, each member can also buy a maximum of four tickets of any denomination. 

Ticket sale to members will be on till September 17 and they are requested to buy the same by September 17 evening. 

The redemption center for online ticket buyers will be located at the Bilimoria Pavilion, Civil Lines, Nagpur. The redemption center will remain open from 9 am to 5 pm till 22nd September. 

The gates will be opened to spectators at 3.30 pm on matchday. The staff of Paytm would be manning the gate/bay entry through turnstiles at bay level. After the scanning of bar code at turnstile, ticket holders will get access to the stands. 

Both the teams would be arriving in Nagpur on September 21 by a chartered flight and will have a practice session each on September 22. The Australian team will practice from 1 pm to 4 pm while Team India will be practicing from 5 pm to 8 pm under floodlights at the Jamtha stadium. 

TICKETS FOR SCHOOL STUDENTS 

VCA has reserved 4400 tickets in the East Stand (Ground floor, Bay A, B & C) for school students only. The tickets have been priced at Rs 100 per ticket. Students should do the following to book and procure their tickets: Students can book tickets only through their respective schools. 

The list of students, duly authenticated by respective school Principals, has to be submitted along with the School IDs of bonafide students. Every 20 students must be accompanied by one teacher/caretaker, who will be responsible to take care of the students.

The commencement of sale of tickets to school students will begin on September 16 from Bilimoria Pavilion of VCA, Civil Lines, Nagpur. It will be strictly on a first-come-first-served basis. 

While entering the stadium, a copy of the letter from the Principal along with the students’ School IDs should be produced at the turnstiles. Any misrepresentation will be a punishable offence

The VCA has also reserved a certain number of tickets for differently-abled persons and their attendants. They will have to produce Govt ID/Certificate while buying the tickets.
