Carolyn R Bertozzi, Karl Barry Sharpless and Morten P Meldal have been jointly awarded the Nobel Prize 2022 in Chemistry. Bertozzi and Sharpless are American scientists, while Meldal is from Denmark.
The award has been given for development of Click Chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry.
The announcements of the prestigious Nobel awards started on Monday by The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
On Tuesday three scientists were awarded Nobel in Physics and on Monday in Medicine.
The prize in literature will be announced on Thursday.
