Five women killed after they were hit by a vehicle on the Pune-Nashik highway in Kharpudi area on Monday night.
The vehicle hit the women when they were crossing the road. The injured were taken to Jeevan Raksha hospital for treatment.
Following the accident, the police immediately reached the spot and started investigating the cause of the accident. Visuals of the accident site were accessed by Times Now. The footage showed police personnel were seen studying he minute details of the accident site while several bypassers were seen enquiring about the incident.
It is being said that driver fled with the vehicle after the accident.
Police have launched a manhunt to track down the vehicle and nab the driver.
The accident occurred at around 11 pm on the Pune-Nashik Highway near the Shiroli village in Khed taluka.
In another tragic incident, a teenager was killed in an accident on Ring Road near North Delhi’s Wazirabad area.
A 14-year-old boy died and two others were injured in the accident.
The three were on a scooty when the accident happened.
