The Sonegaon police has succeeded in arresting two bookies who were placing bets on the IPL final. Taking this action on the basis of secret information, the police arrested both of them from Nagpur airport. both had reached Nagpur from Goa. The arrested accused have been identified as Kumar Hari Kumar Sachdev and Hemant Rajkumar Gurushgyani.
The police had received a tip-off that two bookies involved in betting on IPL matches were coming to Nagpur from Goa. After the news was confirmed, the police laid a trap at the airport. As soon as both came out of the airport, the police caught them. both were brought to Sonegaon police station. During this, goods worth three lakh including a laptop, three mobiles, and cash were recovered from the accused.
Police is continuously questioning both of them. According to the information received, the names of many more people may come to the fore in this case. Presently the police is engaged in further investigation.
