Renowned bollywood singer Anuradha Paudwal was formally welcomed into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday, as she arrived at the BJP’s office around 1:15 pm to formalize her membership. At this moment, Paudwal’s decision to join the BJP coincides with the impending Lok Sabha elections. The Election Commission is poised to declare the election dates, alongside assembly elections in certain states, later today.
Anuradha Paudwal, rose to fame for her devotional singing in the 1990s. At the age of 69, she carries a significant legacy in the field of music. Paudwal’s life has been marked by both moments of happiness and sadness; she wed Arun Paudwal in 1969, who worked as an assistant to SD Burman and was a music composer.
The couple had two children, son Aditya and daughter Kavita. Tragically , their son passed away several years ago, while Arun Paudwal breathed his last in 1991.With politics getting more intense, opposition parties have come together to create the ‘INDIA’ alliance. They want to challenge the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, voting took place over seven phases, commencing on April 11 and concluding on May 19. Results were announced on May 23, with over 91 crore voters participating, accounting for a 67 percent voter turnout.
